Like axo, I got caught up in it as well. While I'll proudly say I didn't suck Congress's dick, I never called for violence in any of my posts. The ban was purely political. The thing is that Reddit will become a complete echo chamber now. Some of the users will have no idea that there are outside opinions or that the bans are even happening to so many.
But rather than making alts, I'd rather devote my time to new platforms that welcome my voice. Ones that can be lifted up that are willing to protect free speech.
We probably should have learned better from the history of events. Reddit like the other prominent social media has been completely taken over by the left mob and its owners.
The country is heading towards a bigger schism that will be not Dem versus Repub but socialist and communist left versus American values conservatives.
We need a new major political party and a new set of media - news and social - not owned controlled and censored by the left. Parler is a start but we need a conservative TV, a conservative version of YouTube, a conservative Twitter equivalent. Dunno about Facebook equivalent - that concept is mind-rotting anyway. Do we need conservatives staring at their phones all the time? But on the other hand, a .win is a very valuable resource for us all.
In short, we need separation from the mainstream media which are thoroughly owned. Unfortunately the elite agenda is to divide and conquer, but we are past the point of trying for unity, so from here out we need to stick with our own and support each other.
Anyway, Reddit has become a shithole and not a fit place to congregate.
