I literally got out of the shower this morning and thought to myself: "I'm not going to last the week on reddit."
I didn't last an hour lol.
If any /r/conspiracy mod sees this, please approve my last post about Gen. Flynn and Italygate, I was suspended right before I was able to include a submission statement so it will be deleted.
I want my last /r/conspiracy thread to be a doozy heh.
I've appealed to the admins just in case.
Edit: interestingly, I was removed as mod of /r/conspiracy but not of /r/ufos or any of the other subs I moderate.
Also, AssuredlyAThrowaway is the heart of /r/conspiracy's mod team and needs to be in charge now.
Edit 2: to my fellow /con mods, I strongly recommend sorting threads by "controversial" when they're getting brigaded. You'll often find the comments that are at the top when sorted that way are the ones from /r/conspiracy regulars that are the most insightful and constructive. AATA, you should probably do this in your stickied announcement thread lest it becomes indistinguishable from TMOR/SRD, as well as the other threads.
EDIT 3: Disappointed to see the /r/con mods cuck out and remove my stickied Italygate thread. Also, you're letting actual threats and calls to violence to against me stand in that thread. Ah well, RIP /r/conspiracy.
I was surprised to see this today.
hey man, sorry for your recent temp ban and the bad blood over the years.
I didn't like what the job was doing to be and I already feel loads better being away.
You should know that you're always welcome here.
Well you know open comms is a thing for me, I prefer a light touch on bans and that is sometimes incompatible with the vitriol in everyday conversations nowadays. The over application and blunt use of rule 2, was and is, the source of 95% of the discord in r/con imo.
Not sure why they tagged you with 'violence', I thought you were always pretty careful with that, as you know I don't agree with all the pro Trump stuff but the reasons they quoted were weak.
They cited my post called "the night of the digital long knives" but in the thread I clearly was saying how it meant the current crackdown from big tech.
The only time before that I was given a warning for "inciting violence" from the admins was when I used the phrase "shoot the messenger" when talking about a whistleblower being unfairly punished.
I made numerous threads about it at the time because I was worried they were going to use it as a pretext to ban me.
Looks like they got me on another semantic technicality because I mentioned knives in another well-known metaphor?
I think when TMOR has threads with 10,000's of upvotes telling folks to mass report me to the admins, they probably just got sick of dealing with it.
tbh the amount of harassment and threats I've received over the rules, plus the admins historically giving me the cold shoulder, plus their unceremonious removal of me this morning, 12 hours after "reddit conspiracies" is evoked on the Senate floor...I think that's legitimately significant and even newsworthy.
But what do I know.
