I saw a random facebook post from some supposed scientists explaining that they can't even prove that COVID19 is real based on samples the CDC has given them. And supposedly 7 universities are suing the CDC for Covid Fraud or something like that. They are pretty much saying its just another flu strain, since the entire virus has never been isolated, only bits and pieces.
Given that death numbers are no worse in 2020 than 2019, maybe this is true AND it got me thinking. Was this a "reverse placebo effect".
When a pharmaceutical company runs clinical trials, a certain number of people are given a placebo; they only THINK they are being given a drug to help with a certain condition, and in some cases they do get better. Perhaps its other factors; perhaps the power of the mind can heal?
Can the power of the mind also hurt? If you get a cold, or are told you have coronavirus, is a reverse placebo effect possible? In other words, could you get sicker than you really are because of the fear mongering that goes along wiht COVID 19?
Just a thought.
Great post, and spot on. Stress completely messes up ones immune response, so scaring the crap out of people with endless doomsaying hysteria puts people in 'fight or flight' mode, activating the sympathetic nervous system; readying them for physical confrontation. This leaves people more susceptible to infection, and less capable of fighting illness. The endless barrage of fear-porn is psychological warfare that has a measurable detrimental affect of general health and wellbeing.

People should read about the vagus nerve and how to put the body in the parasympathetic state, to combat this. Also, deep breathing, meditation. And turn off the news.
