I think all of our belief systems stem from some common origin, some Akashic principle which is embedded in our collective unconscious and gets released upon the world in a physical incarnation with some regularity.

I think everything that is happening has happened before and will happen again. Those who ignore history or think they have everything figured out are doomed to failure.
