School closures were originally predicated on "stopping the spread" -- meaning stop wider transmission so as to protect the vulnerable (elderly, etc.) from risk. Now it's morphed into protecting kids themselves, which is insane, as they face less risk from COVID than seasonal flu. (twitter.com)
