Anyone remember the social experiments Reddit did? They split everyone up into two teams and people instantly started fighting, abusing eachother based on the team they were on. Also another one where people were essentially put into a caste based on how long they were willing to wait for a clock to countdown. They only did a few, and then never again. I think these were demonstrations and data collection for Reddit to show the potential it had for influencing people's beliefs and behaviors.
If there's any institution that has caused more death and suffering to the domestic population than the federal government, it's the pharmaceutical industry.
