true. I was thinking maybe she just felt more comfortable walking up steps in one pair vs the other. Like maybe the heel had a wider base. I don't know anything about heels though lol

It’s all about fear of tripping and falling. She switched out the shoes based on how much walking and if there were stairs involved. This whole day is planned out by the minute. She has someone who advises on things like that. The worst possible thing that could happen to a First Lady is to trip and fall in front of the entire nation.

Here’s what I think. I think that she had on some regular shoes (no heels) at first because she knew she’d have to walk up that giant set of stairs. Didn’t want to risk falling in heels. Then once she got that over with she switched out to the blue high heels for the rest of the day.
