I used to travel to churches for work and was about ten years ago that I encourage there's a strange man. I was about twenty and he was engaging in small talk and then said,
"I was in the navy during the Cold War and part of a submarine crew. We were in Antarctica and I was really close with the captain and he let me look in the periscope at what was under the ice. No one else was allowed to. I can't tell you what I saw but everything you know is a lie."
It was really random, he was a legitimate normal veteran. This was around 2009, but it never left my mind. No idea what could be under the ice or if he was just crazy. Don't know much about submarine culture. But always left me wondering.
I mean I'm down for a lot more UFO, paranormal conspiracies, but it seems like those are less discussed these days.
