I have been paying more attention to fashion. For example, I think we all know that luxury purses are vastly over priced. Depending on the purse it can go from $10,000 to $120,000 or probably more. They usually use low quality leather and the crafting isn't anything special except on certain details that alert experts to authenticity.

The same with the clothing. They are usually man-made materials, which surprised me.

I think the rich people we see, millionaires, maybe even new billionaires, are no longer getting the good quality stuff. In the past, presumably the aristocracy would buy things that would last for decades. And maybe the Quiet Elite are buying real fabrics and actual quality luxury items.

I think the visible wealthy are just as brainwashed (maybe more) as the plebs.

Did I miss something? Wasn't there a medieval-ish warm period where Vikings farmed greenland and grapes grew in England? Wouldn't that have been a hotter global temperature?

On the heels of the government forcing farmers to sell their land, Dutch farmers are reportedly committing suicide at disproportionately high rates. https://thecountersignal.com/dutch-farmers-committing-suicide-disproportionately/ donate here

Dutch farmers committing suicide disproportionately In November, to comply with the European Union’s radical climate laws, the Dutch government announced it would force up to 3,000 farms to shut down for good. https://thecountersignal.com/netherlands-to-forcefully-shut-down-3000-farms/

“There are a lot of farmers who are committing suicide in the Netherlands, about 20 to 30 a year,” stated Dutch commentator Eva Vlaardingerbroek, “which is a huge overrepresentation of this particular sector of course.”

She added, “And that’s because these people are completely desperate as a result of the criminal policies of our government — and this man who committed suicide only yesterday was only 25 years old.”

Earlier this week, Dutch MEP Robert Roos also brought up suicides in an exclusive interview with Remix. https://rmx.news/remix-exclusive/exclusive-dutch-farmer-families-are-crying-at-the-kitchen-table-every-day-and-some-have-committed-suicide-warns-dutch-mep-robert-roos-about-government-farm-expropriation-plans/

Roos said the government has “smashed these farmers for years now.”

Dutch farm families are desperate “And the people are so desperate that many families are crying at the kitchen table every day, and even a couple of farmers committed suicide already. Really, it’s that bad,” he said.

Earlier this month, the European Union approved the Dutch farm buy-out scheme, calling it “voluntary” despite earlier reports that it will be mandatory.

The farming-intensive Netherlands is the second largest agricultural exporter in the world, which poses a problem for the Dutch government led by Mark Rutte, who wants to cut emissions of pollutants by 50% by 2030.

The Dutch farmers have been protesting their government’s emissions reduction policies for years.Last week, in a video posted online, Mark van den Oever of the Voorzitter Farmers Defence Force blasted the agreement being drafted by the Rutte government and called on farmers to “get ready” for another confrontation.

The Hague, the seat of the Dutch government, has declared a state of emergency to prevent farmers from driving their tractors into the city to protest the government’s mandatory fertilizer reduction targets.

The Hague declares a state of emergency to stop Dutch farmer protests The organizers of Thursday’s protest, the Farmers Defense Force (FDF), have said the state of emergency is a way to quash their democratic rights and freedom of assembly.

They have also accused the Dutch government and the EU of imposing rules that would destroy their livelihoods.

Rutte is forcing farmers to reduce nitrogen use Prime Minister Mark Rutte is forcing farmers to reduce their emissions of nitrogen and ammonia by 50% within the next seven years, in order to comply with EU regulations. The government has also concocted a farm buyout scheme, where approximately 3,000 farms will be forcibly taken over by the state.

The FDF had initially planned to stage a massive demonstration in front of parliament, where the fertilizer emission cap was being debated. However, local authorities issued an emergency order to prevent the protests.

This is dictatorship

“Demonstrators are being sent away by the police at the 2nd Chamber building. Otherwise violence will be used. These demonstrators are not farmers with tractors, but they are still being sent away. This is dictatorship. Right to protest is a fundamental right!” Twitter user Kees posted in Dutch.

The FDF was forced to reorganize the protest in Malieveld, a large field near the city centre, where they were met with a heavy police presence.

Police have since arrested seven people.

“The demonstration at Malieveld in DenHaag is in full swing. We have now arrested 7 people, including for non-compliance with demand and assault. Two officers suffered minor injuries during an arrest,” the Hague police force Twitter account posted.

Despite the order, dozens of tractors were seen driving towards the Hague on Thursday, according to social media reports.

Police have been diverting tractors along the highway to prevent them from reaching the city.

Farmers are committing suicide As previously reported by The Counter Signal, Dutch farmers are committing suicide at a disproportionately high rate amid the government-enforced land buyouts and the EU’s radical green agenda.
