Lol so not vitiligo. Vitiligo causes discoloration as patches of the skin lose their natural pigment, resulting in white patches, not the blue or purple discoloration seen with bruising. However, trauma, such as a bruise, can trigger new patches of vitiligo to appear in that area, a phenomenon known as the Koebner phenomenon. Sun exposure can also worsen vitiligo, as the depigmented skin burns easily, and sun protection is vital.
