I do insurance work in California. A lot of carriers are changing guidelines or shutting down business in CA because the state has frozen auto rate increases. Accident rates are up, theft, vandalism and all that good stuff is higher than ever and insurance companies cannot increase their rates to offset it. I think Geico is still accepting CA customers but the extra expense of having physical locations was not worth it when massive call-centers are less expensive.
