I think what most people fail to get is that this is a long marathon, a collapse could happen, also it might not!
The way I see it, it's a slow march into more and more tyranny, they ain't going to stop. The prepping you do is mostly to make you feel independent, you should not do it expecting eminent doom, many who promote eminent doom are making a profit out of it by selling prepper merch.
You plant your own garden because you are disconnecting from the system as much as you can and it's the right thing to do. But keep in the back of your mind that the march to slavery might be excruciatingly slow, and when SHTF for real it's possible none of your prepping would work anyway.
I think the jews have also pushed us on the extreme side with the vaccine eminent cull so that we cannot communicate with normies and also get frustrated when nothing of a large magnitude happens.
I try to manage my life in a way that takes into account both, the long haul slow tyranny and the imminent one.
