Hydra/hydor (water)...there can be only one water; dividing internally into waters above/waters below (inception/death) for the head (life) of each ascending diver.

The idea of "multi headed hydra" is based on the futile attempt of solid (life) to cut the head of fluid (inception towards death)...it always grows back, because fluid represents the animator of solid growth.

The trick...oneself represents the head within the hydra, and attempting to cut it off represents being headless aka ignorant.

Bonus: notice that the archetype of the "headless horseman" represents ones ignorance within horse/hros/kers (to run) aka nature runs (fluid), which allows each native within (solid) to lose ones head when submerging.
