Jack was interesting. I couldn't really figure him out. There was no doubt he was actually kind of smart, like in a verbal debate sort of way. He was actually good at logical argument and people like him can catch the average non flat earther, who does not really understand physics but just assumes it's right, in logical fallacies and whatever.
Incidentally, this is why I like flat earth and the other non conventional globe theories. I like math and physics a lot so I view these theories as tests of my actual understanding of these things. A good scientist should be able to drop the heliocentric globe assumption and reason his way back to it. It is also a good barometer for the conspiracy theories I do believe. By this I mean, if I can't figure out that the heliocentric globe is actually correct and identify why those conspiracy theories are wrong, then what confidence do I have in the other conspiracy theories that I do believe. Because, you know, planes fly around the globe all the time and there are satellites orbiting it pretty much everywhere, so it is correct.
So I like to debunk flat earth, but not for the same reason all the dorky science influencers do it.
Anyway, Jack was smart enough that I almost thought he did not actually believe any of it. But if I had to guess, this is wrong. He is probably just a bit weird and so has decided to be this esoteric guy who does not believe in the standard globe model but also thinks most of the competing theories are psyops.
Who knows what he thinks. He has been quiet for a while it seems.
