It was built, as already mentioned, at the decree of Cyrus the Great. That's what needs to happen now, 3rd Temple must be built, so Moshiach could come. So, do you see how important Iran (former Persia) is to them? they will even install a fake King in Iran to make sure it aligns to the script.
