Ethiopia isn't terrible from what I've heard. I watch some American youtuber who lives in Nairobi. Not saying it is Norway, but it's livable.

They were making great strides getting out of poverty prior to the 1960s. Poverty levels were declining quickly. That's a fact. Literacy rates climbed very quickly. You can even watch 1960s interviews with civil rights activists compared to the activists today, there has been a marked drop in intelligence.
