I never knew much about phosphorous, until I ended up in the situation I did.

I still think its weird people focusing on phosphoric acid, when phosphorous is used in nearly all of the cellular activity.

Industrial phosphoric acid typically has a pH value between 1 and 2.

The pH of stomach acid typically ranges from 1.5 to 3.5.

So pure, undiluted, phosphoric acid can be a bit stronger than stomach acid. So it can be dangerous. Drinking it is one thing, but breathing stuff in or getting in your eyes is of course super dangerous. You wouldnt want stomach acid getting in your lungs or eyes either.

Of all things to focus on in a diet coke though, lol.

It’s actually more common to have too much phosphorus than not enough. Phosphorus is found naturally in many foods and phosphoric acid is used as an additive, so most people get enough in their diet.

Your body needs phosphorus, but too much of it can cause problems. Studies suggest that excessive phosphorus intake can put you at risk for osteoporosis and heart disease. Calcium and phosphorus work together to form and maintain healthy teeth and bones. The minerals need to be balanced in order to be effective.

Phophorus that’s added to products like soda is also very easy for your body to absorb. This can make it easy to get too much phosphorus.

Because so many of us drink sodas and eat processed foods, some experts are concerned about the American diet when it comes to added phosphorus. Phosphorus additives make up somewhere between 10% to 50% of phosphorus intake in a typical Western diet, according to estimates.

Typically the worst part about phosphorous is if you have kidney damage, you start to accumulate this mineral and lose the ability to get rid of it in your urine.

Here I am still drinking like 1.5 liters of pepsi a day, I cant get my phosphorous up lmao. I just need to keep taking that vitamin d, even though nothing else is off, just the low phospho levels and parathyroid hormone levels (which are sky high). Surprising I havent become diabetic yet, but its been over a year now since I had any blood tests done so who knows maybe I am lmao.

Low phosphorous is fucking terrible. The range of effects it has on your body is fucking huge. Feels like I have cancer or something.

Id be more worried about the aspartame, you know, that chemical that is linked to cancer and doesnt actually do anything to help you and if anything makes you crave even more sugar and fat lmao.

Aspartame, one of the world’s most popular sugar substitutes, is found in thousands of sugar-free, low-sugar and so-called “diet” drinks and foods. Yet the scientific evidence described in this fact sheet links aspartame to weight gain, increased appetite, diabetes, metabolic derangement and obesity-related diseases.

Concerns about aspartame causing a number of health problems, including cancer, have been around for many years.

Some of the concerns about cancer stem from the results of studies in lab rats published by a group of Italian researchers in the late 2000s, which suggested aspartame might increase the risk of some blood-related cancers (leukemias and lymphomas) and other types of cancer. However, these studies had some limitations that made their results hard to interpret.

The results of epidemiologic studies (studies of groups of people) of possible links between aspartame and cancer (including blood-related cancers) have not been consistent for most cancers. Some studies have suggested a possible link, but others have not.

No worries though, I trust the FDA when they say its completely safe, LMAO, just like I trusted the doctors when they said that freon cannot cause irregular heart rhythms and that I would be fine, fucking retards.
