This sucks for me, because I'm a software engineer and I work for real companies that do real things (the kind of software that people use to make their job more efficient, not social media trash or any other non-business bullshit). I have always refused to work for VC backed companies or giant companies (currently contracting for a company with 6 people), and now that the free Cabal money dried up, all these lemmings will flood into my world. One of the nice side effects of working with this small-only principle is that I get to work with normal Americans, instead of Indiots and Chinese communists, and all the other Silicon Valley trash.

My experience is that most of these diversity hire idiots like to play with whatever the new shiny object is in the tech world, and they don't have any real brains or ability to translate business needs into usable software, but nonetheless their sheer mob sized numbers will still have an impact on my bottom line.
