Christianity, or more precisely faded shadow of it that most "official" churches represent around the world, at least, still works as a relatively powerful remedy against many psychological challenges for parishioners. This significantly cuts a market of different BigPharma sedatives and other expensive shit. To some extent that shadow of christianity still limit spreading of many narratives, especially woke propaganda and all that stuff. And suddenly, it does not significantly matter how corrupted church top managers and priests, because perisioners are still able to read Bible by themselves.

So, even a weak and corrupted christian church still a significant rival to the BigPharma and woke agenda.

So, after failed attempts to corrupt priests and inject wokeism to the church, elites found that it does not noticeably influence parisioners. So, the only way left for them is to destroy christianity itself. However, I hope they will be surprised, because history of christianity is full of stories of underground resistance to the powers that be.
