Why are flat-earthers so belligerent?

Because they are largely agents or products of a heavily advertised (i.e. funded) psyop. One of the things it encourages is false enmity between “globetards” and “flattards” to prevent any earnest collaboration, discussion, or evaluation of the subject. Earnest flat earth researchers (depending on personal temperament, of course) are typically not that way.

And the response is always: educate yourself

Well, that’s good advice. Speaking from experience, it can be very tiring when people ask the same 101 question over and over again - especially when a small amount of research could easily answer it.

This is an extremely basic question that you should be able to answer in a few words. In fact, you should be happy to explain it.

I agree.

The (potential) explanation, assuming the world flat, is that when you travel west you are circling the north pole clockwise and when you are traveling east you are circling the north pole counterclockwise.

Any earnest questions you would like to ask - or search to see if they have been answered before - check out the community here called flatearthresearch!
