I did relocate and then hard disabled the autoupdates (I had to find a tutorial to do it) .. We had a power outage with IAN (I was in the heart of that hurricane) magically skated that storm (I mean right in the middle 90 mph winds .. The power went out once and the fucker auto updated when power restored .. I had a movie looping and minimized to stop the auto update .. When the power went out it auto rebooted and updated without my consent.. I got it set up now where it just asks if I want to update 'Y/N?' does not even download the files.. UPDATES are data harvesting nothing else. I still have Windows 7 no updates since 2010 running just fine as my main computer..
