Syria would be blinked out in a heartbeat. With it Russian interests.
The minute Russia fires on Israel, a nation with nukes. Boom. There goes Syria. Does Russia fire back from Russia. Now everybody joins in.
Or it fires conventionally and gets destroyed conventionally. There's Turkey hitting Syrians in the North. Israel in the South.
So it isn't firing, but occasionally it has. Nothing of any real significance. Large missiles shot down, no fly zones in certain areas. Is it still over there? Questionably there's more profit in simply preventing the total removal of Syrian power, and selling arms, and trade. While also keeping its Mediterranean base operational.
Meanwhile Iran edges closer to what? Are they gonna keep getting hit, for how much longer, currently? Isn't their program coming along.
Hence Israel has been doing everything to prevent their entrenchment in Syria.
The whole thing profits. But risk increases. Who knows how it all turns out, today. It isn't cooling down.
