Do you know that nearly all MCUs in home appliances have mask ROM and you can't upload your own software into them? Also, if you take a look at dates of manufacturing on photos of PCBs (all 3 of them from 7 articles :) ) you will find that all photos shows some old things from 2002 to 2012, from times of NATO-Russia cooperation.

And after all that stuff on photos is unidentifiable. It is impossible to say were it was installed and who made it, who use it, and if that PCBs from some weaponry at all.

Why do you need all that in surveillance drone? Drone should be cheap as fuck, because it is expendable. Drone is just cheap targeting device for artillery. You could use literally toys for that. And there is GNSS systems other that GPS. And you actually don't need any GNSS for fire adjustment.

Russian weaponry is different from Western one and use different concepts. You absolutely don't need sophisticated, most modern and absurly expencive electronics to do such simple tasks as artillery targeting, rocket guidance and all that stuff, it is just a matter of choice. You can do it, if you need to make a weapon that is absurdly expencive, but if you need weapon that just do the job, you could use simple electronics, even analog one.
