But what if that ball were much larger than you currently understand?

But, it isn't. We know exactly what the dimensions are.

Or is that small patch of earth flat?

No credible evidence supports this theory.

What is Earth?

A round planet,

What does it mean to be flat?

the opposite of round.

What is the arctic circle?

It marks the southern limit of the area within which, for one day or more each year, the Sun does not set

What is the black sun?

IDK, a Nazi symbol, or a novel.

Why isn't our star map an inverted globe?

What the fuck is an inverted globe? there is no relevance to this term in any astrophysics terminology.

Why can we see the same stars when the nights sky faces four different directions during the four seasons?

We don't. We see the big dipper in a totally different position in summer vs. winter.

How do you know you are going straight if you are relying on magnetic north to circumnavigate the globe?

Because a compass is always attracted to the same relative position that being magnetic north. All maps are drawn pointing True north (top of the world) but because the magnetic north is always moving, navigation requires you to know what the magnetic declanation is. For example, ships on the Atlantic use a different offset than ships in the Pacifc.
