The other Biblical reference I can think of is the star and clay one. The star being Wormwood, the final Bible/prayer book of Antichrist that are going to unite all the worlds religions. We can read about its construction in Song of Solomon, and it is called the desolation of isolation in Daniel. Clay being a reference to flesh, and we also read in Daniel that clay and iron do not mix, I wonder if iron means modern technology, maybe. Anyways that be my take.
