Yeah, that's complicated but makes sense.

Whatever the variance in direction - "we the people" are in for some difficult times. I hope Americans can work through the dark days and hold the centre.

"The centre must hold" - that used to be the Flag, and the country on which it was based. Notice how even the flag's under attack - the symbol of unity (from many, one) is now being suggested to represent colonialism (like the UK!) and slavery and racism?

I bet these ideas are traceable back to China and Russia. WW3 has been ongoing for years.

People got arrogant and feel too safe... despite terrorism and things... they aren't suspicious of ideas that are damaging to social cohesion. "Communists are from the 50's! They don't exist nor do their beliefs.", "Oh look, the CCP are happy just existing in the world as they are! So industrious, they give us things!".... "The Russians military is so funny, ancient collapsing equipment."

People have lost site of their enemies - countries group minds have a long memory, and grudges aren't lost. Look at North Korea. While they're looking harmless, they hate Americans for the bombings the people got decades ago.

Now imagine that cultural hate but at the 2 billion or so people in those super-big countries. I imagine Indian leaders may be a little salty about Colonialism.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least to see these countries all playing nice while Americas strong, but when it falters from within I can easily see "the world" "putting the boot in" and enjoying it. I doubt American refugees would be welcomed with open arms in many parts of the world.

Yet communism has been in schools for decades, people aren't disgusted with the CCP or afraid of it, and so on...

Maybe I'm just a scaredy cat - but the risk of not being cautious is massive.
