I believe that Jesus was born on Thursday, March 9 (Julian calendar), 5 BCE, shortly after sunset. This corresponds to Nisan 1 in the Biblical calendar and March 7 in the Gregorian calendar. Since Jesus was born on a Thursday shortly after sunset (Lk 2:8), according to the Biblical calendar he was born on the 6th day of the week. Jesus was therefore born on the same day that Adam was created, because Adam was created on the 6th day. This fits because Jesus is called the new and better Adam (1Cor 15:45). Furthermore, Jesus was born on the same day that he died, because he died on Friday, April 7 (Julian calendar), 30 CE, shortly before sunset (Mk 15:42), which is also the 6th day of the week. This fits because Jesus' wife, the church (2Cor 11:2), was also born on the 6th day. Just as Adam's wife Eve was created from Adam's side (Gen 2:21-22), so the Church was created from Jesus' side. For as he hung on the cross, his side was pierced, and blood and water came out (Jhn 19:34), which represent the two sacraments of the Church: Communion and Baptism. But the Old Wife, "Lilith," was cast out because of her disobedience. Lilith represents the Jewish people. The New Wife is the Church. And the Church is not only the new and better wife. She is also the new and better temple. For when God said to David, "Your son will build me a temple," God did not mean Solomon, but Jesus, yet Solomon, in his blindness, did not understand. And truly, Jesus built a temple—a temple not of worldly material, but of spiritual material—the Church (1Cor 3:16). And this temple can never be destroyed.
