I'm not sure how this is related to concerns you've expressed to me before about AI, but I agree with you that this is a bad thing. AI is generally bad because instead of trimming down what information our government collects to what is legal and helpful, they want it to make everything they collect (and store forever) usable to prosecute whoever they don't like, even 20 years later when it was a joke to begin with.
