Coming from a long time heavy smoker, it ain’t healthy. You were never meant to breathe in smoke a billion times in your life. Sure I love it, but my lungs are all fucked up nowadays. I’m forced to be very active at work so I don’t have the worst lungs in the world, but they’re definitely in way worse shape than in my 20’s. I’m sure nicotine comes with some benefits, but smoking probably isn’t the best way to get those benefits.
It’s about as healthy as a wood stove in the house. The difference is about 100 years ago they discovered phosphate in soil makes tobacco tastes good. So they found phosphate from the ground unpurified worked and killed the smokers slowly so they used that. Turns out there’s the radioisotope polonium in rock phosphate. They knew purified phosphate was safe and put poison in it to make money.
