Some of those church fathers had a few screws missing. It is far better to go straight to the Hebrew and Greek text, preferably the Received text. Then you don't have to worry about some man deciding for you what God wanted you to know. God promised we would have His word. There are many words in the English texts that are there to protect existing doctrine.
You believe in a different Gospel than that which Christians before you believed. You have made yourself your own pope instead of receiving the traditions which were passed to you. This is a grave error, and goes against what both Our Lord (Matthew 7:15) and St. Paul (2 Thess. 2:15) said. What you preach is heresy.
I supposed this is new information to you. It isn't anything new that I came up with. It is just what is in scripture. Scripture is more important than any man made nonsense out there. Sorry, you are the one with the heresies. You can learn what God actually says, but you need to be willing to give up the man made doctrines.
Well, you put your faith in popes and the like, despite Jesus CLEARLY saying in Matthew 23:8-10
Mat 23:8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
Mat 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
Mat 23:10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
Whereas 1st Timothy says:
1Ti 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
So, your deference to popes and the like is not in line with Christianity as spoken of in the NT.
When you criticise that guy for reading his Bible directly instead of receiving traditions, well, Jesus had this to say about placing traditions above the word of ‘god’:
Mrk 7:6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
Mrk 7:7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
Mrk 7:8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
Mrk 7:9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
Mrk 7:10 For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:
Mrk 7:11 But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.
Mrk 7:12 And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;
Mrk 7:13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

So… there!
Here is my response to you:

This isn’t a response. And, insofar as it could even be considered one, isn’t yours.
