Idk..he's totally ok with sacrificing people to further transhumanism research. Then he says maybe one day we can bring back all the people who died in the world but at the same time is concerned with population numbers (sounds like BS and pandering )? So we have too many people now but you'll bring back everyone..or at least the animals and people who died in your study? I don't buy these people give a shit about the average person. They want to live longer and look younger themselves. It's pretty self righteous. And even if they were able to bring people back, would they be able to bring their soul back? People who want to meld with machines and AI I think disregard the soul. I believe they will actually just be robots, especially if they succeed in uploading their brain into an avatar. I think it's going too far. I do think extending telomeres is interesting research (not mentioned in this interview) and I am way more interested in that than melding with AI or adding robotic parts. He actually wants to get rid of the "meat sack" so what he is proposing sounds more like a robot to me. Then he says if AI does go rouge and tries to kill all humans, it's ok...him and his family can live off grid and will be fine nevermind most the population who can't do that. He admits that in five years many jobs will be obsolete and AI will cause poverty for most people but that is ok because people aka he will get to live forever and "be out of the meat sack and feel no pain or age (Paraphrasing)." Sounds like a villain in a movie to me. And what if these atheist are wrong and there is a point to this realm? And there is a point to pain and suffering? I am not sure people are actually going to buy into all this transhumanism anyways at least pockets of society will never buy into it. I guess cities can turn into AI robots that live forever, sounds fun.
