Carbon pricing is about redefining banking. People say CBDCs all the time....but they don't link them to carbon pricing. The idea is to issue out new debt....and to have new forms of debt.....

They used reserves (gold), the did fiat(fractional reserve), they are doing digital fiat(MMT), but they want something universal....a common reserve that can be tied to life itself.

Gold is a limited good but not so much when you need to start trying to represent everything with it. It's fine as a store of value, but not efficient to work with in policy.

Carbon is the building block of life. So by first focusing on carbon dioxide they are secretly pricing carbon and oxygen.....

Hydrogen is also on the block....but that is farther away....so they are pricing carbon....

This is not because they suddenly believe in silicon as some evolutionary next step......it for debt...it's a banking tool.

Carbon in the atmosphere....ie....useful carbon for life....is bad.....because life costs money.....

So you need to pay for carbon.....

The same thing is happening with forest and land conservation. They are doing land banking as well....
