There seems to be a pattern of building the pyramids larger on top of the tombs of earlier rulers. One of the earliest kings was a White guy who introduced large scale zeolite water filtering of lakes and fertilizing of fields with volcanic ash that allowed the settlements to expand to over a million people. As time went on this technology was abandoned in favor of trade for fish and organic fertilization, the settlements then moved closer to the coast and built newer pyramid structures there.
I don't know.. I was looking into this and it seems like it's build on top of like couple previous pyramids. Haven't started looking into this. Like any videos of them going in there.
