Return currency printing rights back to the nations and issue it at no interest the way it was for centuries. For example, the tally stick in England for over 600 years and the Colonial Scrip for approx. 250 years.
We may have strayed too far from local value definitions to be able to restore such a method. We have to undo that damage done, likely by devaluing every thing and removing undue wealth from mass consumption.

I can think of far better economic systems but it doesn't seem like the world is ready for that type of stuff
I like the no money at all option the most but that's a good 1000-2000 years away
