i think there's a sci-fi series with your premise, except people are also moved to another land. the entirety of earth's population is forced to live lives within 2-5 miles on either side of a really long ass river and has forgotten their individual identities.
anyway... do i still have whatever skillsets i may've had prior to my memory loss? i would still have a fair bit of tools, equipment, and assorted paraphenalia around indicating what i was capable of.
most people would likely have some sort of ID on them that indicated their address. if those people went to those respective addresses, they'd most likely find they had keys to fit the locks. they'd go in, look around, see pics of themselves with others, maybe find a journal or scrapbook, peruse their own libraries (or browsing histories, if they'd left their computer/laptop on and open), and get some general idea of who they had been. perhaps the most entertaining part would be all the trannies and glowniggers wondering why they were such massive faggots.
a small number of people might find their written p4$$w0rd5.
as for me, presuming we retain our skillset knowledge, i'd probably wind up doing trades/engineering/handyman stuff for my neighborhood and mad scientist shit on the side. or mad scientist shit for my neighborhood and trades/engineering/handyman stuff on the side.
