Add to that...

• The cell mate they chose for a plausible story.
• The fact that the cell mate they chose was former law enforcement so had some sense and could likely be reasoned/bargained with.
• The cameras.
• The weak story of the incompetent guards.
• The withdrawals from his accounts AFTER his death.
• The pictures of him in Israel. (Maybe he has a common face/build?)

If they were going to kill him, they would not have gone through the trouble of that many "coincidences". Could have housed him with a psychotic White/Black/Hispanic gang member and been straightforward about it.
