The previous band is between 700MhZ to 2.4Ghz. 5G will add more energy in those same bands and also add on frequencies up to 100Ghz (or beyond perhaps) potentially. Though different countries seem to be allocating different ranges. Some are proposing 20-40Ghz, others 50-60Ghz, etc.
And new routers now using 5Ghz, or 6Ghz in addition to the old 2.4. I don't think any of that has been carefully studied in the public domain. Though we know the military has studied the higher Ghz for weapons and likely the entire range of microwaves.
