Ah, allow me to correct myself from the hastily written reply to some barely remembered material:
Meye Levin didn't write any part of the diary, but he wrote a play based on the diary. One thing led to another and he filed suit, which you can read about here:
TBH, Otto hired a professional writer for at least some of it. He didn't pay (surprise) then was sued by the guy and lost.
But, you know, I'm trying to write a social media post title, not a high school English paper.
Do you happen to have any material on hand about this?

Levin Gets $ 50 , 000 in 'Diary' Lawsuit | The American Jewish World, 17 January 1958
I should have referenced the more well-known "ballpoint controversy", which you can read up on here:
The Diary of Anne Frank 5.0, an update (Gilad Atzmon 8/3/2016)
Finally, there's a TON of surrounding context--especially about Otto--in this article:
What The Holocaust Establishment will Never Say About Anne Frank: VT Investigates asking what really happened to Anne Frank and what role did Otto Frank play? (Veterans Today 1/23/2017)
Hope this helps!
