The characters in the Children's Bible depict good looking white people fighting off dark-skinned bad people. They've been convinced that this is the history of their people.
Especially Jesus. the Bible says that Jesus was not good-looking. He would easily disappear into crowds because he had the typical Jew face--probably looked like Jonah Hill. And Judas had to kiss Jesus on the cheek in order for the guards to figure out who Jesus was. But the image of Jesus that we are all familiar with looks like the handsomest guy in the world--capable of gracing any romantic novel--and He loves you.
If you go to christiansfortruth.com, those commenters do so much mental gymnastics trying to prove that Christians are descended from Jacob, and that the Jews are the real Edomites. Sometimes they come up with some "Adamaic" explanation that I can't follow. Or they come up with some kind of lost tribe explanation with even more mental gymnastics.
The real history of white people is that we have been at war with the Jews from the beginning.
When the Europeans started accepting Christianity, Rome fell, and Europe entered the dark ages--our pagan Gods deserted us. Those dark ages lasted over 1000 years--full of plagues, conquered by Muslims from the South, Huns and Mongols from the East. The Renaissance was led by the rediscovery of ancient Greeks and Romans books and literature. That is when Europe reclaimed its glory and was able to conquer the world.
There is a reason why the Classics--Greek and Roman literature--has been purged from public education.
