We could get rid of the root cause of immigration if we really wanted to, but we just make too much money for our intelligence agencies off of all of the cartels that make life hell in the places that they are immigrating from. Kind of ironic.
not to mention the fact that the entire situation provides plenty of fresh bodies for human trafficking for the same agencies.
