I get what you're saying about people feeling entitled but I am so angry with Google that it doesn't bother me at all. I'm not saying that justifies me blocking them, but I'll quit using YouTube before I stop blocking ads. I have a small YouTube channel that I created in college before Google bought YouTube and put up a couple random home videos. I completely forgot about the channel until earlier this year I pulled up a video to show my wife and Google forced me to watch an ad on my own home video. This really pissed me off because they've been making money on my stuff without my consent and I'm not big enough to receive any ad revenue. I understand that they are giving me a platform, but I uploaded before ads existed so I never agreed to that. It really rubbed me the wrong way, along with all the other scummy stuff Google has since done.
You're talking about a company that has received millions of dollars in government subsidies, allowing them to operate for 15+ years without ever posting a profit. Just like Twitter, Facebook, and so many other fake platforms, YouTube cornered the "free market" without ever actually participating in it.
Now we're supposed to feel guilty for blocking their attempts to "go legit?" Give me a break. YouTube made a mockery of capitalism and they will never see a dime from me.

You can't be serious.

You also said "you support this" in regard to YouTube--specifically YouTube--blocking ad blockers.
