It's funny what greed will do to people. Family ties mean nothing to a large chunk of humanity if you throw $10k in front of them. I have seen that behavior in my extended family and friends families. I suppose you can see what a person is really made of when put into these kind of circumstances.

I've joked around that if I ever became filthy rich I would track down the courteous drivers and good Samaritans and reward them for their behavior. There seems to be a core to each person that is somewhere between selfish and decent. It would be nice to see the decent ones rewarded for not being assholes.
