This is what I don't get about the Mars Rover theory. I remember growing up, being told that, it would take like 100's of light years to get to the nearest planet, mars I think. Just now doing a duckgo search this is what I get According to NASA, a one-way trip to the Red Planet would take about nine months.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? When I was watching this in the news, I was like WTF, didn't they just launch the Mars Rover like a year ago? Don't we have like 99.999 more light years to go??"
Not sure how you got hundreds of light years to the nearest planet. Thought it was about a 2 year journey myself but that was older tech. To the next galaxy would be hundreds of light years, not the next planet.
