I really love comic books. I don’t feel stupid but... knowing that some people had a massive hand in creating them puts me in a weird state. Has anyone ever done any research on it?

The Marxist liberals have infected editorial staff at both the majors, DC and Marvel. The result is absolute shit, full of DEI and bad changes to major characters. Some of the writers are gay or lesbian and they promote their agendas in their stories. DC actually publishes LGBTQ pride issues, and has gayified some major characters. Marvel, well, what Disney did to Star Wars, that's what Marvel is doing to some of its characters.
This is a phase in history, some day after 'get woke, go broke' starts putting the bottom line into the toilet we might see change. But not right now.
I find the indie publishers these days are far more readable, and they are not ramming PC down your throat. There is some great stuff in the indies.
By the way, not only is Roald Dahl's publisher rewriting his books, but the James Bond novels are being rewritten to make them more PC. Basically pussifying Bond and retrofitting today's forced culture onto early 1960's. Bond was popular because he was a masculine action character. In the films, after Saltzman and Broccoli died, and Broccoli's daughter took over, she and her lapdog director faggot friend gradually made Bond more 'sensitive'. This may be the fate of most of today's superheroes.
