I saw these one start up that was able to take ALL plastics and kind of low heat melt/shape them into blocks that could be used like legos...on a much larger scape to build houses/huts. Hemp can make amazing plastics...and these would be bio degradeable.
I could get on board with this. Plastic is a good insulator and, aside from potential toxic smoke and fumes, could be a viable construction material. Maybe add some UV resistance and flame retardants.
