remember its a THEORY of relativity. it's not fact of relativity. i disagree with the "invisible plane that we are all on" like a giant net and i will argue that all of the planets, stars, moons etc. are suspended in their positions due to the gravity exerted on them by certain forces that are near. the "fabric of space time" being some type of invisible plane under us where everything sits on doesn't even make any sense
Matter materializes within space. Let's call it 'nestled' within - as potential - in another dimension until it comes into being.
This coming into being of more than one object creates the notion of motion between two points which takes Time. These all 'nestle within' one another as conditions.
A plane of existence as dimension is different than a literal plane of a 'thing'.
There is some truth in relativity. For example, we most certainly are dependent on the speed of light for our information.
However, you are correct. It is being misrepresented on purpose.
Even in Einstein's day there were greater minds. Neils Bohr for one who knew Einstein's limitations.
From relativity, science moved to quantum theory which is now mostly passe and incomplete, as it ALL has to be, as the PART (mind) CAN NOT CONTAIN (or explain) the WHOLE.
String Theory attempts to come to the rescue by creating a false world where reality is suddenly whatever you 'dream' it to be and there IS no way to determine truth...........science committing suicide in order to become a God.
Well, relativity (& special) works at a macro scale. E=MC2. We proved that when we unleashed the energy in the humble hydrogen atom. For all I know Einstein stole the theory, but at the end of the day it works.

Anyone who has ever laid on their back and watched the clouds know that they dissipate, change and reform due to atmospheric winds.
