As a chicken guy I can tell you they lay about half the number of eggs in the winter with supplemental light. Maybe a little bit more if you heat the coop. Without electricity they will lay close to zero. I use private chicken feed grown by a friend and this time of year is hard. I normally get 10 eggs a day but am only getting 5 or 6 right now with supplemental lighting
