The toroid doesn't seem to match order natural observations. The expanding part though seems like it could make a lot of sense especially if the orbit itself is changing. We know the orbit has changed historically and probably wildly so before achieving it's more steady current state.
Never studied that one. I like the expanding earth theory though. I think it explains things better than the moving plates theory.
