Democrats genuinely believe that minorities are inferior in some way, and therefore need their benevolent help. they see themselves as mothers, fathers, and Wiseman to the filthy unwashed minorities. That's one of the reasons why they get angry when a minority decides to reject their "help". To them, that is simply a child throwing a tamper tantrum against their parents.
