I don't think Jones is controlled op. That's more like shapiro, hanity, glen beck, etc. I do think he's what we refer to as "progressive disclosure", -or- their efforts to slowly drip info. out for various purposes including:

dis/misinformation
occult need to inform
attempt to minimize perceived severity of their crimes through creating familiarity
